SKF Austria goes BGF semifinals!

Being first in front of eight competitors, this is the first time reached the semifinals of SKF BGF Business Tournament! Our team consists of people from different departments (Sales, Control, Human Resources, Quality and Supply Chain) and different experiences have helped in the decision making process. Following an exciting period of 10 weeks where the game showed us the economic processes in a realistic way, we learned how from management must strike a balance between the demands of customers, employees and shareholders. The game is an excellent exercise for the team dynamics, and we're excited to face to the semifinals in September.

The tournament gave us the opportunity to feel as top-managers for a while! During the competition, we saw an overview of how to do business and this taught us how different parts of the company interact.

We learned to trust the opinions of others, to listen and communicate effectively.

The most attractive of this business game was undoubtedly the competitive aspect. It was a source of extra motivation and influenced our results in a very dynamic context.

In conclusion, the experience of BGF Tournament was exciting and beneficial. And we had so much fun!

Our team of John Holland (a leading Australian engineering and services) came from diverse backgrounds. This diversity in skills and management styles added color to our strategy discussions for the BGF Business Game and made more fruitful. We see the development of our sales and marketing strategies for a consumer product like a challenge but it took very little to adapt and find our own style.




In the spirit of Anzac, after going our way looking for the first two rounds but do not abandon our strategy and decided to keep this consistency is that paid substantial dividends in rounds 3 and 4.
